Will simply imagining using the "time" features still cause PT to vanish in terror? Is the choppy graphic mode scrolling fixed?
Has anyone demoed this yet in PT10 and/or 11? However I will probably be holding out a bit longer to ensure that it actually works properly in PT11. I think $149 isn't a bad price for an upgrade from 3 version numbers (8+ years) ago.
AUTO TUNE AAX 64 BIT
This version seems more like that one (blind hope on my part?) and has AAX64 support (and hopefully they have now improved whatever they did poorly in their 64 bit transition). That said, I am personally excited about this upgrade because I am not a very loyal customer and my last version of Autotune was their last really good one, v5. This exact thing has always given me pause about Autotune, it has felt for too long like a cash cow that doesn't get fed enough. Of course it's not as if Antares have ever hid that, these upgrade prices have been the same as long as I can remember and they are clearly posted on their site for all to see so with this particular product it's usually best to not always simply upgrade just because an upgrade is out there, you really need to do some cost benefit analysis with it. Now all those same people who upgraded there are on the hook for another $129. They even charged $79 for owners of v7 when they added their really crummy 64 bit support to v7, and that was just months ago.
It really does seem like Antares are squeezing their most loyal customers as opposed to doing anything that would drive brand loyalty.
